XML question (tricky one)
Published by: jane 2009-01-08

  • hi every1,
    here's the tricky question...
I want to create an xml file. The xml contains several names. I want these names to be actually links. So far, so good, no prob about that.

The tricky part is as follows:
I want these links to actually command a flashmovie timeline.

For instance, I want the first name in the xml file (displayed in my movie) to go to a
    given frame.

Is there a way to do this? I know for sure you can't use labels, because they are converted to frame numbers, thus I might wanna use frame numbers, but I have no clue
    how to do that.

    Any good answers?

    Thanks ppl :ko:

  • tehehe...

woulnd't want to take advantage of your kindness, but you dont happen to have an example somewhere, do ya? :D

  • That should be easy. Create an array, assign a variable and use gotoAndStop(myArray[myVar]).
