I have just softmodded my brothers Crystal Xbox (v 1.6b) using the SID 4.5 Splinter Cell gamesave loading UnleashX as his dashboard. I have downloaded XBMC 2.0.1 Final and FTP'd that to E:AppsXBMC folder on his Xbox. Upon rebooting XBMC is now shown in the Applications list. The problem here is that as soon as XBMC is selected the screen goes black and the Xbox appears to crash. I am not sure what is going on. No log file has been produced so I cannot see what the problem is. The problem happens when using EvolutionX as the dashboard also. XBMC also crashes in the same way if I boot it from a CD-RW/DVD disk. I can't seem to figure out what the problem is. The XBMC is a fresh install, so no previous version was on the Xbox. How can I fix this?
His Xbox was PAL but has been changed to NTSC using Enigmah Videomode Switchdisc. He also has the HD AV Pack connected to the XBOX with 480p, 720p and 1080i enabled in the dash. I don't think it's a problem with the video as the Xbox crashed even before I had changed the Video mode to NTSC.
