I had volleyball practice this morning from 5-9 so I couldn't go the the store to buy the Jonas Brothers new album, "A Little Bit Longer". So my wonderful Dad wend and stood in line for an hour with a bunch of screaming girls just to get the CD for me. Would you do something like this for your child? I'm sure glad my Dad did!
Haters: I'm in such a good mood that you can say whatever you want, I won't report you. I think everyone should be able to say what they want.

I would do that for my daughter. My mom stood in a line for 4 hours to get me a Cabbage Patch kid when I was little, and I stood in line to get a tickle me Elmo for my nephew. Way to go Dad!

Only if my daughter was pulling weight with in the family. But yeah, I would. I turned 56 years old two days ago. My youngest son is getting married this weekend. He is wearing a fau hawk hair cut. And a Kilt for the services. So am I. I got the hair cut yesterday. I love my kids, and heck, the hair will grow back.

You are a lucky girl to have a father like that-my husband is wrapped around his little girls finger too & I think its the best thing in the world!!
Think of something extra special that will make him smile...whether it's making your bed without being told, or offering to do the dishes when its his turn...whatever works for your dad. When he thanks you, tell him that you appreciated him getting you the album & you just wanted to do something nice for him. Then give him a great big hug & kiss.

Parents are a pain (I know, I am one), but its necessary and you will certainly learn to appreciate all they did for you once you get older, and its really nice when you are able to show your appreciation now.
My mom would do something like that for me, especially where Celine Dion is concerned, so even though I'm a little too old to understand the Jonas Brother's thing, I think it's great that your dad understands how much it means to you.

Aww. That is so sweet. You're lucky you got the CD. I asked my mom to go get it and she said "we'll see" in the probably-not tone. She is so mean. Wal-mart and Target are like 5 minutes away. And she won't even take me. Sheesh. But I'll make her. Haha. =D

my dad did something like that for me.... 9 hours of waiting outside of barnes and noble for the seventh harry potter book. they came around with stamps... we got the A group, so we were in the first group of people to get the book at midnight.
