PHP: ibase_connect - Manual:: ibase_connect — Open a connection to an InterBase database If you get a sloooow work of ibase_connect on Win2003, try to update your FireBird to version http://php.nusa.net.id/manual/en/function.ibase-connect.phpHOME | Hi guys!
It was a bug from OP 1.0 but i've hoped, that OP 2 will correct it
:(
Well, I've noticed, that while working with DB application accessing DB Interbase server via 3050 port ALL that connections are VERY slow WHEN for THAT application certain standart allowing rule is created.
But everything is OK when
1. OP is disabled
2. internal LAN is marked as trusted.
Stupid thing, i'm really frusrated :(

Does the slowdown continue if running Outpost in Allow Most mode? Do you see any entries in your Blocked logs when running Outpost in Rules Wizard or Block Most mode? Does anything appear in the Attack Detection logs?
Since things seem OK when using the Trusted settings, this suggests a rules issue. Could you please give full details of the rules that you are using? (I am not familiar with Interbase, but I would suspect that your current ruleset is allowing some, but not all, packets through - there may be other ports that need to be opened or traffic is being sent via a third party and therefore being blocked by the Attack Detection plugin).

What is Allow most Mode ?
THERE ARE NO ANY entries anywhere!
NO attacks, no blockings, nothing, because of DB Interbase clients use JUST THE ONLY remote port 3050.
I'm using DB Interbase from 1996 please believe me
JUST 3050 and SIGNIFICANT slowdown. Moreover before OP i've been using NIS without any problem with 3050.
