Washington was not at every victorious battle. Kings Mountain in NC is a prime example.
there were some good American generals and one of them might have gotten the job done but if it's ok with you let's just let things remain as they are.
I would say yes. The Brits rather half-heartedly prosecuted this war. Their supply lines were huge. Their troops were somewhat ill-led in that their officers and generals didn't adjust to the type of semi-guerrilla warfare employed by highly motivated colonial troops.
As mentioned earlier, the colonists had several good generals well versed in warfare.
