Couple of things:
-I could be wrong (often am) but I don't think any of our players won this award at all last season, despite some storming spells from Freddie, Bob, Bergy, et al. FSN16-20:: Coming up on FISO over the next month should be a) a chat with Tony Murnaghan one of Ireland's top fantasy sports players and a name you'll often see on the http://www.fiso.co.uk/fsn16-20.htmHOME |
-Wiltord's goal for France was a real cracker, but he (and the rest of the team, for that matter) didn't look so hot the rest of the time. Hope he was saving something for tomorrow. Sport - Telegraph:: most of the players you named came through the academywhen was the last Wiltord was about 27, I think. Rosicky was 26, as were Bert and Campbell. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/main.jhtml?view=DISCUSSION_MSGS&grid=F15&Threaded=true&Expand=true&CurrentTopicId=2346&MessageId=-1&PreviousMessageId=-1&ParentMessageId=-1&startFrom=1025&howMany=30HOME | leedsfans.org.uk: Leeds United News - August 2003:: August 31: Paul Robinson is the only current Leeds player named in Sven's Bergkamp, Ljungberg and Wiltord on the scene - and his arrival should do a http://www.leedsfans.org.uk/leeds/news/200308.htmlHOME |
I'll be curious to see if Wiltord wins POTM on Arsenal.com
I'm pretty sure Bobby and/or Freddie won it. Didn't Freddie win it at the end of last season?
You're right. Bergy won it in March, Freddie in April. So this makes three in a row for the Arsenal.
The first two winners last season were Saha and Veron, who both went on to less-than scintillating performances. Hope this isn't like the SI jinx.
