The better alternative to the "dig baby dig" plan would be to invest the money into research for less pollutant fuel.

We should drill for our own oil. It would reduce gas prices because we would refine it here and we would not have to ship it over. We would have cheaper gas because it is from our country. Because it is our oil we have a right to use it the way we want to, for our country. Drilling a lot will not helps this country's economy, it will make it worse. The government would have to pay for the gas and we would be in more debt.
If they did that, how would they make money? No one goes into business for the customer. They do it because they want to make as much money as they could.
