first, i would like to say, that it isnt a virus, i just cleaned my whole computer and its brand new. but everytime i try to open my documents or my pictures or my music or any other storage folder it starts to lag and crashes! i have all my music and pictures in there and when i try to tranfer them to a different folder, it lags and would not finish! please help :(
Don't get registry cleaner, as it is a virus program.
Get a professional, by the way you type, I'm guessing you are a teen.
Take the computer back to the store, if you say its new, it should be covered.
right click it, and click add to archive. Then in that menu, click delete archived files.
This of course is after you install winrar
google it.
Whats your operating system? ie. Windows Xp/vista? Apple Mac? If it is a windows OS i think i can help you, when you boot your computer boot it in safe mode,if you dont know how to do this then look up in google How to boot my windows xp/vista [replace with your operating system] then transfer your stuff. if this doesnt work then open up my documents, and select all the stuff you want to copy right click it and then click copy, rather then dragging it directly into your digital memory device.
Hope this helped you, add me as a contact if you need anymore help, i will be happy to.
You wrote that you trasfered your documents (music, picture etc) and you system lags when you tried transfering them. I believe two problems can be noted from the things you wrote. The first most likely is that when you transfered your document some part of the worm or virus was also transferred into the location where you had things transferred into. This will definately get your system infected again once you connect or load the device on your system again. If on the otherhand, you have installed an Antivirus or firewall, the system might be blocking the worms from loading, enhence the lagging in the system.
Another thing that could be causing this problem could be the fact that your operating system might not have loaded properly or that there are some drivers (related to the device you loaded you document onto) that are not wokring properly on your system.
But out of the two options, I still believe you may have that virus or worm still present on your system. So I will suggest that you find another system with a good antivirus and scan the back location or devce before you use it on your system.
Lastly, you did not tell us what device you have used to copy your files, if it is cd, perhaps your data was not written properly.
run CCleaner, it might help. Run the Cleaner and Registry menus
