Why do some people say, "But yet" and "And also"?

Why do some people say, "But yet" and "And also"?

Don't they realize they're being redundant? Does it annoy anyone else who hears these? I can't say I've ever heard a native English speaker use both those phrases concurrently.

They probably don't realize that they are doing it. I get teased all the time because I start everything I say with "so". Like "so I was on yahoo answers"

It doesn't annoy me at all. 'But yet' means that the speaker/writer is going to offer another point of view. 'And also' is similar in that the speaker/writer can see two sides of the same point. I cannot see your point of view on those phrases as being redundant because as any a public speaker/politician/lawyer/whatever would know, these phrases are still very much in use today. I am interested in why you think they are redundant. ??
