I heard if the guy has nothing going for him in life (no job, lives at home, no car, etc.) They think the younger girls will accept them more. A older women on the other hand expects more from an older man. Is there truth to that?

It really depends on the person, or persons. I am in college but many years after receiving my first college degree, and so right now I do have a job, I live on my own, but I am flat broke these days. Nonetheless, in general, most younger girls still accept me. I don't know what this proves, but to answer your question, for my part, I am more attracted to them, though I can also be attracted to women who are my age or older. But mostly I am amongst the younger women, so I find that I can relate to them better.
I cannot address any generalizations though. Just giving my own personal perspective.

Its nothing like that. Its been traditions for many many years that a male would be slightly older than the female and take care of her. He does the hard work, gives her the time of her life. As they get older and the husband gets sick, its the girl's turn to look after him.
I think there is some truth to that. But if you were to look back in history and even at some tribes and other people groups that haven't been incorporated into the modern world of law, you would see that it has always been common for older men to marry girls as soon as they start menstruating. So I think it is more just natural instinct than based on social status or situation.
Personally, I'm just more attracted physically to smaller framed or petite women. Just so happens that younger women are naturally smaller framed and more petite.

Older men like younger women because they make them feel young too. The older women or a women the same age, is on the same level and is more mature about life which some times can be a real turn off.
