Who Won the Debate–Obama or McCain? | The Red Stapler Chronicles:: Sep 26, 2008 So if you think Obama won the debate, buy an Obama product and if you think McCain won the debate, buy a McCain product :) http://redstaplerchronicles.com/who-won-the-debate-obama-or-mccai/HOME | I think McCain did very well in last nights debate but of course the liberal media is portraying Obama as the winner.
What do you think? Be nice and polite and respectful no matter which candidate you want. Do not attack me personally for asking a question.
Hitler was COOL & CALM too.Keep in mind that OBAMA has the 3 guys that helped screw up WALL STREET(Freddie Mac & Co.)working with him now! He is TOO COOL & CALM!
obama for sure
I would say McCain in this one. He came out aggressive and brought up very memorable moments (esp Joe the Plummer) which may actually help him out in Ohio. Obama did alright as usual, but nothing he did/said was memorable in any way.
McCain hands down(imo)
OBAMA!!!
if you were already a McCain supporter, then you probably are happy that McCain came out attacking Obama with everything, including the kitchen sink
if you are an Independent voter, then you are probably unhappy with the attacks, and wish that McCain had spent more time talking about the issues
if you are an Obama supporter, you can't wipe the s@#t eating grin off of your face right now!
Obama
McCain looked like Al Capone minus the fedora, "a gansta." Pin striped-suit, striped black and white tie, no hint of red. He was on his last mission to bam boozle Obama.
Obama won hands down. He is a decent human being, a family man who represents the values of the middle class and is best equipped to fight for the middle class in Washington.
He has great plans in place for health care, energy, the war, and will bring the middle class out of the economic crisis in the best way possible.
LMAO
To all those who believe McCain won, I suggest taking a look at the polls.
Even the most conservative network on television, Fox News, gave it to Obama.
McCain walked in looking like an angry, and dare I say, erratic old man. He looked like he was about to lose his head for the first 30 mins of the debate, Obama proved to look alot more competent in testy situations than McCain. Finally, do we really need a War Hawk with failed economic policies entering office when we re at war and in financial crisis? Look whats happened on Wall Street the past few weeks, my friends .. Blog Buzz: the Verdict on Last Night's Obama-McCain Debate :: The consensus among liberal and conservative bloggers is that Obama won, At last night's debate, McCain announced his proposal (called the McCain http://www.usnews.com/articles/news/2008/10/08/blog-buzz-the-verdict-on-last-nights-obama-mccain-debate-another-strategy-change-and-the-new-mortgage-proposal.htmlHOME | Third Presidential Debate - McCain and Obama - Transcript :: Oct 15, 2008 You won't pay a fine, because MCCAIN: Zero? OBAMA: Zero, because as I said in our last debate and I'll repeat, John, I exempt small http://elections.nytimes.com/2008/president/debates/transcripts/third-presidential-debate.htmlHOME |
I think McCain did a better job than all his previous debates.
I still think Obama won the debate.
He gave answers, real answers, when asked about the education issue he said he would recruit a new generation of teachers, pay them better, retire or shift those that need to be shifted because they are good teachers, he gave real answers. McCain went to say fluff about disabled children (which is a very important issue but not what he was being asked and went on and one about how Palin knows about it) he said he would put the people that came back from service to teach. Coming back from the war doesnt qualify you as a teacher. As respectable as risking your life for your country is it does NOT qualify you to shape young minds. what about PTSD? Yeah, lets put traumatized after war men and women to teach our children, come on!
Obama is more eloquent. McCain is more pragmatic. It was a draw.
The ObamanAtOr.:*)
Mccain started off very strong and i thought he had it in the bag, but Obama picked up his game and they were tied for the majority of it. But then McCain went more into talking smack about Obama's policies and twisting his words instead of explaining to us his own. Obama did a good job at keeping his cool and the outcome was that Obama had a better off overall deliverance. I'm for Obama but I think that McCain did well in his delivery of "I'm not George W. Bush." I thought at one point he was going to have a heart attack though, he got so excited haha.
MCCAIN won. He's the only one of the 2 who knows how to tell the truth.Everywhere i look it says Obama won, but i'm a smart woman and I watched the debate myself and it was clear as the nose on my face that MCCAIN did win the debate last night. How Obama Won the Abortion Part of the Debate: Common Ground and :: Oct 16, 2008 All in all, McCain won the battle to most thrill the activists but Obama in the latter part of the debate, Obama cleaned up last night. http://blog.beliefnet.com/stevenwaldman/2008/10/the-final-debate.htmlHOME | Pollster.com: Re: Debate Reaction - Town Hall Debate:: On the question of "who won" or did better in the debate, Democrats consistently gave higher marks to Obama than Republicans did to McCain and independents http://www.pollster.com/blogs/re_debate_reaction_town_hall_d.phpHOME |
it was a draw at best.
mccain did better than he normally does but still he was rude in every sense of the word and unfocused .i still can't see him as the next president but who knows who will win only votes count not debates .
I am a Republican. Obama won the morbid silly thing they called the Presidential debate.
We have no...NO real idea what either candidate will do when they become President. TV got its dollars.. the American People got the shaft.
Well, even Fox news says that Obama won, which is pretty much capitulation.
Some polls give him a 31% advantage over McCain.
I liked Obama's approach - he came with details, with facts and figures and he disabled McCains jabs one by one.
McCain seemed to be more interested in hitting vague "talking points" and slamming Obama than in getting down to cases. At the very end of the debate, in the issue of vouchers for DC charter schools, he went way off the point because he wanted to win his little point about the vouchers. The ISSUE was that allowing 2000 people to flock to the good schools takes money out of the bad schools, who are then left with no resources to improve.
McCain's "solution" would polarize the school system - if you were lucky enough to get a voucher, your child would get a good education. If not, they're absolutely screwed.
I don't agree with everything either one of the candidates said, but, on balance, you're much better off with Obama than McCain.
I'm also concerned that McCain seems to have spells where he forgets the name of Obama ( as in "that guy" in the last debate and Michelles name in this debate). It raises a question of mental competence.
I agree with most people here. McCain-Obama Debate: Mainstream Media Declares Obama the Winner :: Sep 27, 2008 Who won the debate between John McCain and Barack Obama? Who won last night’ s debate? Depends on who you ask. FAST FACTS: http://deathby1000papercuts.com/2008/09/mccain-obama-debate-mainstream-media-declares-obama-the-winner/HOME |
OBAMA won!!
McCain did well for the first 20 minutes, but slipped after that. Obama kept his cool the whole time and answered the questions McCain didn't think he was going to answer. had a fireback for every one of them. Their answering the truth. Media or no media, from what we seen Obama won
Mc Bushy didn't debate crap he just kept trying to twist what Obama was saying and repeating his campaign garbage
Very clear. While the first two were a tie, Obama won this one by far. Clear, calm and exact. McCain came our as a grumpy old man. McCain may have appealed to his base last night, but turned away swing voters who he needed, at the same time.
Obama.
McCain did very well, and asked excellent questions.
He was on the offensive most of the debate.
But I still believe Obama won.
He quickly, and accurately, defended his points.
And, as the polls still show, most of the debates viewers feel the same.
Obama won. McCain made sure of that by throwing the debate. If McCain wants us to believe that he's a maverick who is unpredictable, he didn't show it in the debate last night. He asked the same questions, in the same words, as he did the last two debates. Obama was prepared for it. Why? Because McCain is a creature of habit.
For the third time, McCain interrupted the moderator and the person he was debating. He cut them off when they were talking. He hasn't got patience or restraint. McCain doesn't take responsibility for his campaign ads being negative. He instead draws people's attention away from that and mentions Obama's campaign ads. The only problem is that McCain is responsible for his campaign ads and for those in his campaign that fail to control what is said at rallies. He is not responsible for Obama's ads, only his own. He didn't take responsibility and chose to divert attention. Not a presidential quality.
McCain talked around issues and did not give specifics. One thing I noticed was that while he criticized Obama's plans, he offered none of his own. He didn't say how his plan would be different, because he doesn't have one. In fact, a number of times he mentioned vague things and refused to elaborate, like when he said something about Obama supporters and a t-shirt and things that were said about him at Obama rallies. Again, he diverted attention and was unable to provide anything specific to back up his statement.
Lastly, McCain has always focused more on Obama's campaign than his own. This will be his undoing. People are beginning to realize that McCain hasn't got any new ideas, or even ideas of his own. He's too busy paying attention to Obama. This is because McCain's staffers are too busy putting out fires McCain and Palin started to be able to run an effective campaign which focuses on McCain.
Obama won. insane mccain looked like a raving lunitic. he can not control his emotions.
i'm not gonna lie mcCain did a better job lastnight than in his other debates but obama was still the winner plain and simple
