Translaters don’t work
D= I don't have a bad personality. T_T I'm actually really nice!
The reason people turn it into rocket science is because ya gotta be a rocket scientest to teach people to do rockets.. right?
If you are going to help someone out with something you have to show an example of it. For example, english. if some1 talks lyke this and they want to help you out and in return they want something and so they are just typing away on a thread... and they give you this huge paragraph on how they want to help.
Now you'll be sitting there thinking exactly what I am. "What are they thinking??" Your effort isn't pointless at all. It's the fact that, unless you plan to help them speak english, your typing reflects your skills. You wouldn't scribble a picture and say I'll help you to draw.. would you?
Of course not (unless you plan on teaching how to scribble propperly xD)
Look, I really am a nice person. I'm just saying... if you plan on helping with writting be sure your post shows that you know how to write. =)
anywho, have a good day.. and remember.. not all of us are that mean! D=
The first thing I would look for in a person to teach me English would be:
Perfect spelling
Perfect grammar
A college degree of some type
BUT...if I were just looking for someone to practice with, I might not be so fussy, LOL.

Just teasing!
My name is John.
I am sure between everyone here that speaks English, you will learn something.
aren't those verbs (as they relate to the Japanese structures mentioned) present-progressive, not gerunds.I think (some of) the japanese -te forms are considered to be present progressives. In English, you can say something like, "I enjoy running." and it means that you like the act of running, but has no relation to the speaker's action.
Oh, and tommi... I was just being a smartass.
As for these conversational partners, it probably helps when you A) have good grammar and spelling yourself, and B) each party knows enough of the other's language so that you can learn to communicate better.
lol does anyone want to learn english?
Explain to me the difference between the gerund form of English, such as "walking", "talking", "eating"... and the "gerund" of Japanese -te form verbs, and their purposes... I'm curious; why do so many people think that merely speaking English qualifies them to teach it as well? Why not simply offer to be a conversation partner, instead of misrepresenting oneself.
Ok, I really want to practice English.
First at all, My name is suaha. What's your name guys?
he he, I think only me that 's bad at English.
well also i never said i was a major in teaching it or had some masters degree.i know very simple basic japanese conversation wise but i have a translator i use if you come to me and ask me how to say some but you dont exactly know it spell it in japanese and i would look it up and give it to you or be a conversation partner dont take everything i say so bluntly and strait off to a point have and imagination.
Call me crazy, but I think learning English from you just might not be the best idea in the world...

You have 30 seconds to comply!
Was there any point to this? I think when you ment he wants to teach people English, he ment to help people with English. Like, if they are having trouble in a specific area or they need help with something, he would help. I mean, if he only spoke English (which he might speak another language) then how could he teach someone the language? I mean, to teach someone a language, you have to speak both languages first! ^^

well you know what i dont really care instead of trying to be the better aregueing person i just dont care when you offer help people turn it into rocket science.this is so pointless.some of the people with the worst personalities are on here i swear.
well let's see there is a difference from polite about it,and being a offensive monkey about it...but you know i dont really care anymore so whatever consider this whole thing void.
seince your post was in english i think everyone who might want to can't read it
well to an extent anyways lol

I was reading this and I must say. You've got terrible grammar, so I hope no one comes to you for that! D=
But I'm not here to tell you what's wrong. I actually have a question. Why are you all argueing about english. English sucks as far as I'm concerned. I was born in america and even I am having issues with the damned language!
Anywho, I have nothing better to do, so I'll, umm, vol.. volunteer... oh god I can't spell the word! D= I wouldn't mind being a practice partner. =) Just, umm, I WILL let you know when you've said something wrong. (well, duh.)
o: Oh my god, they have spell check! awe I can't download it! T_T I hate this school.
Okay, well I'm off back to do my classwork now. Good luck on this thread. =)
