In zombie movies and video games around the world, majority of zombies are white. Resident Evil has ONE game where it takes place in Africa and now people think it's racist.
How come white zombies are ok but black zombies are racist?

I'm a huge fan of the Resident Evil series who happens to be Black, and I personally don't think RE 5 is racist. And nobody else I've talked to, Black, White or otherwise, thinks it's racist either. In every RE game leading up to RE 4, the main characters were killing droves upon droves of White zombies. The collective was silent. RE 4 took place in Spain, so Leon fought and killed Spanish people. No one, not even Hispanics/Latinos, had anything to say (not to my knowledge, anyway). RE 5 takes place in Africa, which is essentially a continent full of Black people. I wonder, who else do these people expect Chris to fight?
I guess I could see how people who are unfamiliar with the series might be a little uncomfortable with the game at first glance, especially considering all of the recent racism towards Black people. However, I emphasize the "unfamiliar" part. Unless they know what's actually going on, it may and can be misconstrued as something racially motivated, particularly in today's almost overly politically correct society.

That being said, I'm sure most of the people who are complaining about this don't even know what this series is about. All they see or have heard about is some American White guy killing Black people. For those out there that don't know, the killing in this series has nothing to do with what color the people are. Chris isn't fighting and killing these people because they're Black; he's fighting and killing them because they're infected with a virus-infected parasite that makes them want to murder people on sight. It's not as if Chris is just going around shooting up whole villages of harmless people here. And let's not forget, Chris's new female partner, Sheva Alomar - a member of the West African branch of the B.S.A.A., who is Black - is right there beside him the whole time, helping him out. So I guess my questions to those who still think this game is racist are these: are you upset because Black people are being killed in this game, or are you upset because Chris Redfield, a White American, is killing Black people in this game? Would you be less upset if Chris wasn't White? Would the killing be more acceptable if Sheva was the main character instead, since she's Black?
My opinion? The people who are complaining need to get down from their soapboxes and actually find out what these games are all about before taking things out of context and jumping to conclusions.

i think its stupid how they're saying its racist. I'm darker skinned and I dont see it as racist in any way. In most resident evil games you cant really tell whether they were black or white usually. IN resident evil 4 they were all white because it was in a village in Spain. Resident Evil 5 is in Haiti or Africa, so naturally the zombies will be black. Why is it a problem? If there are never any black characters, itll be a problem but now that they have black characters in the game they're being called racist?
Not that I'm complaining, but now that I think of it, there are no black main protagonists in Resident Evil games, are there? I know that Chris' partner in the 5th one will be a black female, but there are no black main characters. Whatever. it's still a great, not racist series.

Well that's just some of their opinions and not all of them thought about the game that way.Even other people of other races thought the game was racist too.At first when I saw this,I thought it would be somewhat racist because they're mostly Africans/black people in Africa and some of them don't look completely like zombies at all in the video game.But as I got to know it,it isn't meant to be racist,it's only shooting zombies that caught the virus(and only few of them are of black in the game).The game looks hot though.Nobody ever mentioned anything of zombies being white because any of those zombies are anybody of any race and mostly look monstrous.Besides,racist video games that are willing to be racist of race aren't successfully allowed to be published of licensing conditions.
