where is normal mode in action script??
plsssssssssssssss help me becouse the normal mode easy
I bought MX 2004 and I think its very easy also without the "normal" mode in MX. You just need to practice. Turbine Variables and DataSets:: Publishing DataSets to Flash Action Script. in other way macromedia only wants that pro uses it
im glad i dind buy the 2004 i have reinstalled my flash mx 6.0
to learn actionscript
any1 other shares the same idea?
if i were new to flash and i knew/thought that i would use flash a lot in the future and of course had some money to spend then I would learn AS through MX2004 so that i would have to make that transition.
The normal mode is gone! :P
Read the other threads, it's been mentioned many times already. ow oke so i dont need to spend any money on 2004 just stick with the mx 6.0???
send your complaint to Macromedia. They like knowing how they made everyone upset by taking it out :)
well this is the first 2 weeks i've been using MX 2004 and i can honestly say none of my syntax has changed.
well, if you're going to learn actionscript, you'll only be using the expert panel... there's not much you can learn using the normal panel. if you're still a n00b with AS and think you'll be using it a lot in the fututre then maybe it's better to learn AS 2 so that there wont be any learning to do when/if you decide to switch to MX2004...
that's just MHO

ow oke so buy mx 2004??? and learn action scripting that way ??? or not??
There really isnt any kind of transition though. There are a couple of new commands and AS 2.0, but for casual non-'application' programming, theres no real point in using as2.
MX will be fine for learning. MX 2004 doesnt change so much what you learned as was the case from 4 to 5 or 5 to MX, just gives you more to learn.
