Spam: Where to Complain About Frauds & Scams on the Internet:: Links to government, advocacy, and watchdog groups accepting consumer complaints about Internet fraud and scams. http://www.elsop.com/wrc/complain.htmHOME | I'm not really into gaming so am after something just to run windows applications. Any recommendations where's the best place to go? In UK that is.
For most computers, I would recommend pcworld; http://www.pcworld.co.uk
They often know what they are talking about in store and often choose good computer packages.
Hope this helps.

Depends if you want a Mac. (What does run windows applications)
Any Apple stores, PC World or Currys
internet-pc world- currys, where they have refurbished(as new) with 12 month warranty, decent kit compaq 160 gig HD 2gb memory Vista home premium for under 400, mine works fine. Laptop, to save space.
Ebay my friend, you can get a half decent one for about £150 - £180
Look for those that have Ebay shops
I would try either Currys or PC World.
Both are very reliable and helpful, other places like Comet have only messed me about.
(My first PC was bought from Currys in 2001 and they are still giving technical support for it)
(My second PC came from PC World and they were a great help)
Im sure whichever of the two you go to they will be just as good, you just have to find the product thats right for you, bear in mind the best offers will be online.
I recommend http://www.ebuyer.com - great selection, prices and also very importantly good customer service. What are you looking to mainly use your PC for and what's your budget?
pc world - best prices for generic pc's
or go to your local shop for a custom job
