It is not the CPU. If it was the computer wouldn't even turn on. Turn your computer off, unplug the power cord. Take out your graphics card if it is an add on. Hook your monitor cable to your onboard graphics plug and plug your power cord back in and reboot. Your computer will default to your onboard graphics. Then by going through Control Panel uninstall your onboard graphics. Then turn off your computer unplug the power cord. Then install your addon graphics card. Plug your monitor cable into your addon card and reboot. Everything should work perfectly. Whats wrong with my computer!? No if the motherboard blew then you wont get power to the fans using the 3 pin thats on the motherboard. Writer cacn you provide more information ill stay around and put this on my watchlist.

added: yo on your crap computer the one thats not workin. try to take the part and switch it with the parts in the computer that does work. ONLY do this if your can... i have a bro and a sis and got 4 desktops and 2 laptops

if your computer is worth it, take in the chip and buy 1.
if the chip is old you might be able to get one cheap.
