absolutely not. i believe the attack happened long time ago, is it right? many things had change since the reformation in 1998, there is much more political freedom now in Indonesia. is the mother American? if yes, it's even better. well, believe it or not, being half Indonesian and half Caucasian is one of the easiest way to become an artist or celebrity in Indonesia, weird huh? well, trust me, coz it's true,,
just don't be afraid of discrimination from Indonesian, we live with diversity for a very long time, and we've done it pretty good :)
oh, for extra answer, the poverty-related issue shouldn't be worried. yes, it's sad to see all those poor people, but, doesn't mean the whole country is poor. you will see 2 very different ways of life here. you just have to be very wise to live your own life but still care of those who can't.
