Well Mickey Mouse's 80th birthday was this past Tuesday. So I thought they would have celebrated that.

The new slogan for their new celebration is "what will you celebrate"?
It's starts January of 2009. What this means is you basically get into the parks free on your real birthday. On the Disney website there is a form you fill out to show your real date of birth and they send you a ticket to get in free on your special day. If you don't want the free ticket then they will give you a gift certificate to be used in the parks only for that one day to spend on whatever you want and the gift card is for as much as a regular days ticket would be. Or the best option- if you get there early you get a fastpass for a whole day (as many rides as you want) for you and 5 family members.
On the Disney website they also have a sweepstakes going on to win a free Disney trip and other cool merchandise. What you do is going to disneyparkcelebrations.com and click on sweepstakes on the top left corner. Enter in all of your information and every day (once a day) you can log on and try to win! Four balloons show up and if you reveal 3 hats out of the 4 you win a prize. If you don't win then you're automatically put into a drawing to win the free vacation. The enter your info. every time you play.

2007 and 2008's slogans were "The Year(s) of a Million Dreams." In 2009 Disney is rolling out the "What Will you Celebrate" slogan that allows guests free admission to the theme park of their choice on their actual birthday. 2009 also brings the vacation package of booking 4 nights and getting 3 nights free through the first half of the year. 2010 will also probably be a little more on the "lame" side in terms of slogans compared to the Year of a Million Dreams because in 2011 the Magic Kingdom (Disney World) will be celebrating it's 40th birthday.
