Caste system is a social system most commonly used in india. In ranks from low peasant to the royalty. Member of the lowest caste [or rank] are often mistreated. People of higher ranks do not associate with people of lower ranks. You can by your way up to the next rank, but its very very hard. The caste system is based on the idea of reincarnation. If you do good in a past life, you get reborn to a high caste. If you do bad things, like rape or murder, they believe you get put into the lowest caste, and thats why the lowest caste is mistreated- they're criminals. They determine what caste you are in by how wealthy you are. If you are rich, but not royalty, you are still considered to be good in the most recent past life, and are in a high caste. If you are born into poverty, you are a criminal and at the lowest caste.
River Valleys are plains of fertile land used for growing crops. They lie next to large rivers, like the Nile. In ancient civilizations, they were the origin for cities because crops were able to be grown there, and just about no where else.
Feudal codes are much like the caste system, but less severe and used in medieval Europe. It was ranked amongst the serfs [peasants] the artisans, onto noblemen and knights, then to royalty. Unlike the caste system, the feudal system was based solely on wealth, and not the belief of reincarnation
