I want to take them but i don't have aplace to go to get them
and do you think it is worth buying a pair if skates if you go ice-skating 1 time a week for 2 hours
Yes get your own skates. The rentals are horrible and I would hate putting my foot in there, the ones at my rink arent cleaned properly.
The only option really is to drive to the rink. I mean theres really no other option. If your in a cold climate you could skate on a pond but not only is it unsafe it will ruin your blades.
Wish I could be of more help!
yes it is worth buying skates. and im not sure wut to do about the lessons..
You did not say where you lived, but you could search online for a coach/arena where you could go to learn. If you are american, go to the USFSA website, if you are Canadian, go to the Skate Canada website and you will find a list of skating clubs/coaches. I am assuming you have an ice rink you are able to go to, which means there are coaches out there somewhere. Contact a skating club for a certified coach and go from there. It is worth buying skates as rentals are usually garbage. Make sure you visit a qualified skate shop to buy your skates. They will fit you for free and ensure you have the right skates for your shape of foot. It is important to start off with the right boots and blades for your skating level. The skate shop may also be able to advise you where to find ice and coaching. They are a great source of information and love to help out. Use your phone book or google Skate Shops and go from there....Good luck.
