We have two daughters who are going to be four months old on October 27th. We have a large home and we live in an area where it is very warm :)

I would say a lab. Any kind of lab, they are the sweetest dogs.
Any dog that is trained right, there is no perfect breed, you have to make them perfect yourself.. We have a Jack Russell they are supposedly not good with kids and other animals ours loves kids and our cat, it was all in how we socialized him.. Best not to get a dog unless your going to pay more attention to the dog then ur children. But probably you would pay more attention to your childrens... so don't BUY a dog! Will ruin your time with your dog/kid

a labrador retriever, they have the best dispositions, especially when you have babies. long hair dogs would not be comfortable in florida, it is too hot and humid for them.
also it is hard to find ticks, which florida has many.
A Collie, they are natural family dog and they are smart,look good, have manners, don't beg and they naturally herd the Kidd's from dangerous situations.
A boxer.
most friendly dog with kids, my kids pull its ears and stuff and it never growls.
there are many dogs you can get but i recomend a golden retrever or a begal. the golden are very protective and wont hurt them but they can still have fun. the begal being a smaller dog wont hurt your kids and they can still mess around with the dog.
if you want a bigger dog who is easy to train try a labrador or golden retriever and they are good with kids
if you want a smaller dog try a beagle or cocker spaniel which are also friendly dogs
