Like most everything....there is no 'best'. Some films are more favorable for different situations.
A high saturation film like Velvia is great for landscapes but might not be too great for portraits. I love fuji slide film, my fav. is Sensia ISO 100
You can't knock fuji when it comes to film and that one is a great film i use it some times but my fav. hands down , if you don't mind slide film is velvia 100 amazeing color and clear pics.
Are you talking about Slide film or negatives? as Big Mike says, it all depends on what you want to shoot...
Although... Fuji do make some cracking ISO 100 Slide films... Velvia 100 is great - not quite as saturated colours as the 50 though. Fuji Provia 100F is another great film, with especially fine grain. :D
