If you are not hazmat endorsed you should not be hauling hazmat. You have not had the training and probably do not have the equipment needed to do this safely. Specification to provide Bulk Chlorine and Acid:: File Format: PDF/Adobe Acrobat - View as HTMLContact site Hazardous Materials Response Team, if required. .. 8. Do not sell or deliver products to customers you are not familiar http://www.waterlinetech.com/wti/technical_support/spec_bulk_chlorine_acid.pdfHOME | Idaho State Legislature - 2004 Senate Transportation Committee Minutes:: It also adds a requirement that hazardous materials endorsement applicants $29 million to provide sidewalks only just within city limits in areas not http://www.legislature.idaho.gov/sessioninfo/2004/standingcommittees/stranmin.htmlHOME |
As long as placards are not required you can haul it without a haz-mat endorsement. If in doubt look in D.O.T handbook or call your safety dept.
Well the manual i used to study said this :You must have a commercial driver license (CDL) with a hazardous materials endorsement before you drive any size vehicle that is used in the transportation of any material that requires hazardous material placarding or any quantity of a material listed as a select agent or toxin in 42 CFR 93. So according to this if it does not require placarding, you are good to go. Corrosive (class 8) doesnt require placarding if its under 1001 lbs. So 1000 lbs or less. But I dont know for sure. Thats why i have my HM endorsement on my CDL so i dont have to worry about that stuff :).
