  • This motor uses 50:1 fuel to oil ratio, or 1 Pt. for 6 Gal of fuel. You can use TWC-3 or TWC-2. This is a mid 80's motor (1987).

    20 : 1 would be more for pre 1970's engines (apart from the gloriously eccentric British Seagull which is almost designed to run on straight motor oil!) It is worth remembering that the old ratios relied on trying to combine mineral oils with petrol, which is actually a fairly temporary thing since the oil settles out of suspension quite quickly. Modern twostroke oils are formulated to self mix but even then should be used within a month or two.
