What do they claim to do that others don't?
I've heard there's some difference in the ingredients of toothpaste, but I don't really know.

I had my teeth whitened and my dentist said he was using American proceedure, I asked what was so good about it and he told me nothing really but due to the litigation culture in USA it would 1) work and 2) last 3) wouldn't cause any harm.
Under the American pay structure, US dentists have always been encouraged to save teeth and offer more in the way of 'pro' dentistry, if that makes sense, while UK dentists used to be paid per treatment. So, as extracting teeth was always quicker and simpler - zip, out they routinely went! And also take into account the fact that the post-war diet in the US lacked for nothing while in the UK you were rationed up to the hilt for a long time, so the Americans always had those gleaming big gnashers, fit for chewing through all that Texan steak. Luckily, all that's been evened out now and in the UK you get perfectly good and up to date treatment - and gnashers to compete with the best of 'em! Frugal Living::
