I am in the market for a flatiron and was wondering if anyone had some suggestions? my hair is thick, medium Length and straight by nature but still need to run a iron thru just to polish it. Also I like to curl my hair with my flat iron. Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanx!!!

go to a local salon that sells products and talk to them and look at their choices of flat irons they have for sale

I use an FHI. They are, by far, the best ones I have ever used. My hair is very thick, and pretty wavy. It used to be very long, and it would take only about 10 minutes to get it completely done. Since you have straight hair anyway, it wouldn't take you very long. They are kinda pricey. I think mine was a little over $100. I've had it for two years and it's in great shape. i know for a fact that those flat irons they sell at the malls, you know with the girls that hunt you down trying to straighten your hair (lol), work, they cost between 70-100, they straighten and curl prefectly, they also sell them at sally's beauty supply
