it means the album has the same name as the Singer or Band name. like, No Doubt's first album was called "No Doubt"
it just means that the name of the cd is their own name and not some thing else....like the jonas bros cd is named "jonas bros "not something like "our lives"
Say, Christina Aguilera released a self titled album, the album would be called 'Christina Aguilera'. They name the album after the artist. Hope this helps xo
