What Mexico needs to do is change their squad. Try some players that played in the squad of World Cup 06.
I think they should play with a 5-3-2.
4-4-2 formation doesn't really seem to work out for them.
So they should play with 2 laterales, 3 central defenses, 2 contenciones, 1 mid attack, and 2 strikers. Like this:

Guardado on that spot won't really be much exposed to being injured and plus he started his career as leftback. Borgetti, as long as he scores goals, he is still good.

seriously the europeans are the best we have. thats y they are in europe. just cuz vela and gio dont play as much as el bofo doesnt mean crap. they have more talent than a de nigris. what they need is HEART. trust me, they are hearing this "that they have no heart". and athletes do take it to heart, sometimes they need to be reminded the reason why they play the game. i think our players have learned their lesson, and i expect them to rape whoever they play next. ahora si, our players are tired of hearin tha mexico isnt what they used to be, they will prove tat we are.

Mexico needs to show that they are the Kings of Concacaf because right now it seems like they are not. Well it has to do more with the players. Maybe their mentality is poor, after not qualifying to the olympics and having several losses against central american national teams, well I think maybe that's why.
