And for their first birthday i rented a hall and had a dj and invited SO much family and friends. i was a bit worried if i went over board and if the kids would cry but to my surprise, they really enjoyed it! CityNews: Baby Steps:: is my question to you parents out there: what did you do with your baby clothes? Or did you keep it and use it as hand-me-downs for the next little baby? http://www.citynews.ca/blogs/babysteps.aspxHOME |
They loved when people held them, they were tickled, and they laughed and had a heck of a time!
i also payed two friends of mine and my husbands to dress up in animal costumes and to entertain our guests.

oh my it was very nice!
But if you dont want to go over board like i did just stick with the simple, yet very fun family and friends party in your yard with a bbq and something simple yet fun. make sure to set up games and stuff for your guests.
if your babys birthday is in the winter time,
then keep it indoors or even at a restaurant!!!!!
Good Luck and happy birthday to your baby! :)
xx
just invite your close family round for a meal or something, i wouldn't throw anything big
Good question im starting to think of starting to plan my sons first bday even though hes only almost six months.
This is sorta traditional in my family...
Family come on the actual day we eat brownies (no one in my family likes cake) and we tell funny stories about their first year and things I yelled in labour. lol. That usually lasts a couple hours. Then we open presents and watch him play with the wrapping paper lol then we eat BBQ (or something like that if its winter) and talk about other stuff...
lol its really fun!
then friends come over the next day or weekend and we pretty much do the same thing. But the stories are usually mostly different.
We went to a park (a lot of family has young kids) and had a BBQ with all of the family and friends. It doesn't have to be anything extravagant. After all, they won't remember it.
My mom dropped me off a balcony.
But i wouldn't advise you don't do that.
lol.
I would bake her a cake though...or him.
I think that would be nice.
For my daughter first birthday we had a big party . Well the intention was her ut it grew out of hands maybe (lol) . It was during the summer and we had lots of fun . We invited friends and family .We barbecued and rented a giant slide/pool for the kids to play .It went on until 11 Pm . We bought two large cakes at dairies queen and I made some ( (gateau flanc, it is french ) at home for the grown ups .
Anyway the made idea is to have fun whether it is small or big. Remember to take pics .
