for old work-flow in the pre-perss, we are output CTF (computer to film), and pass them to layout department for menu layout and then transfer all the image and text to the plate. but now have a new work-flow call CTP (computer to plate), so that no need to use menu to do film layout. I want to know more information for this area. and also want to know difference type of the work-flow solutions for pre-press worlk-flow and press. All the pages for the job are sent from the customer via files to the printing company. The jobs should be sent plate-ready. The files are then sent over to the Mac workstations and viewed for errors. Once they are approved they are sent to a machine (Creo) for plate printing. The Creo prints the plates, sometimes sends them through an oven (depending on the type of printing) and then they are punched and/or scanned for press (Just like in the olden days of file).
