-10 or more mega pixels
-i want my pictures to come out veryy clear and high quality
-effects that come with the camera so theyll the picture cool effects
-no more than $500 dollars...
maybe any good professional cameras anyone knows about something that can take really nice picturesss!
I don't know where to find one for under $500, but I have an Olympus Evolt e-500. My Olympus came with software, so you can put cool effects on your photos. Two years ago it came with two lenses and a 4gb XD card for about $600. Check Circuit City, since they are closing down, you might find one cheap(liquidation!). Another good camera is a Canon Rebel XTI.
If you are really on a very tight budget and want the best quality for the money, check out the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ28 which is reviewed at:

Good luck!
It still amazes me that still after all this time everyone is still impressed with the pixel counts on sensors.

That said, you will not be too disappointed if you buy a DSLR with a 18-55 mm lens for under $450.

The camera does not take the nice pictures ... the person using it does.
Just like the NASCAR car does not win the race ... it is the driver.

This is a review site for cameras. It will have a list of specifications for most cameras available. And it has in-depth reviews for most of the cameras you would be interested in. Go to camera database, choose a brand and the list comes up. CLick on a camera you are interested in and it brings up the specs for the camera. You are looking for a DSLR-digital SLR. Make sure the specs say near the top under format. They also give prices for the cameras. You can also go to reviews and find a camera you are interested in and check it out. They also include sample pics with the reviews.
edit-Why do people make such a big deal out of pixel count? you know, fhotoace, I think it is because the manufacturers and the dealers make such a big deal out of the pixel count. Even camera store catalogs do this.
A Nikon N90s and 50mm F/1.8 is an awesome set up for about $200.
The frames will scan to about 21 megapixels.
