The young Knives. They are a brittish band that sounds similar to Modest Mouse. I like "The Decision" by them. I cannot think of any others.

I caught and really liked the live version of "Back In The U.S.S.R" done by Leningrad Cowboys ( who are REAL Russian rock musicians ).
The Sonics have a good "Animal House" type college party song called "Strychnine"
And there's "New Orleans Is Sinking" ( a kind of prophetic song, done years BEFORE Katrina and Gustav hit the scene there), done by a band called The Tragically Hip.
