I dont want any rock bands that curse or have questionable lyrics. They should be clean and wholesome.I started listening to lifehouse and found out that they are a christian band and I dont listen to those either.Basically I want to know of any bands that have good lyrics but are still cool, and not anything like the backstreet boys that 12 year olds listen to. What Makes a Song, an Album or a Band "Christian?":: Some of the secular music today is filthy and depressing so it helps to have these bands that play music that sounds like the music today with clean lyrics http://christianmusic.about.com/b/2006/09/28/what-makes-a-song-an-album-or-a-band-christian.htmHOME |
yeahhhhhhh. good luck with that.
rock is for the most part, based on youthful rebellion, and you can't really have that without the occasional swear word or the other two things associated with rock 'n roll (i.e. sex and drugs) Louisville: Louisville wanted music & musicians - Free Classified Ads:: Alternative rock band Momma Thai needs a drummer! 12/30/08 ยท . so, i suggest you go for a christian rock band that doesn't exactly wear its heart on its sleeve.
an example of this is the band 'new found glory' - sounds christian, and i think they kinda started out that way and developed into something else. below, i've included a link to the amazon page about their album of covers (i personally like their cover of cyndi lauper's 'The Goonies R Good Enough)
another band (who incidentally also do covers) is 'me first and the gimme gimmes'. this band is made up of members of other bands whose music might be a little questionable in your eyes (profanity, etc.) but here just do covers.
and there's no real way you're gonna make 'rainbow connection' anything but wholesome.
lagwagon's "let's talk about feelings" is one of my favorite albums, and except for a couple sound bites they lifted from movies (2 or 3 and each maybe 5 sec. long) there isn't any profanity on the album as far as i know.
but yeah, i've included the links to each's amazon page so you can listen to samples of the songs.
hope this helps.
The Fray maybe...
or Red Jumpsuit Apparatus
The All-American Rejects, maybe Fall Out Boy, Feable Weiner, Blur, and All Time Low.
Birch Kraft Kettle Korn

The Fray
The feeling, snow patrol!!! Hoobastank. I would say Incubus but they cuss in some songs. Most of their songs dont have bad words though. Also, Taking Back Sunday and Lifehouse
