buy an ls vtec swap kit. this site seems to have a pretty good kit although u can always google more.

you need ecu vtec head vtec solenoid gaskets and anything provided in the kit. valve covers do nothing. u can put any valve cover on any motor and it doesnt change anything.
take it to a shop and let them do the labor. there's a lot more that goes into a head swap than it seems. LS VTECH Swap - Page 2 - CarForums.net - Automotive Chat Forum:: anyways, you point to a 1.8L that has 130lbs of toque and 180+ hp stock. . b20 vtec is a beauty(especially w/b16 head excellent choice) no matter what http://www.carforums.net/showthread.php?t=7616&page=2HOME |
you might save some money by shopping around for a complete (good working) vtec head, tune your ecu for vtec, and a RPM activation switch so the vtec will engage. but other than that leave the rest to the professionals.
