i've noticed that vobsubs work, but not when rarred. xbmc just sits there doing nothing until i reboot by pressing eject.
unrarred vobsubs do work, but take quite a long time to load and no progress indicator is shown.
placement of the subs isn't very good btw, but that's already in bugs.txt :)
i've tried this over xns with relax 0.75. vobsubs (.idx) issue? - Page 2 - XBMC Community Forum::

rarred vobsubs dont work with the 12.10.2003 build either. xbmc doesnt crash or anything, subs just dont work.
if someone could add rar support for vobsubs it would be great.
sorry for the kick, but is there any news on rar'ed vobsub support from the developers?

moving to the feature request forum, reason for that is that rar'ed subs are not yet supported in xbmc, (only works in xbmp)
