Is there a way to select rows using ids? For example, if I'm showing a list of users I have ids for each. I'd like to use those ids to pre-select some records in the grid.
You have an ID?

Not directly, but ID->row number is an easy match.

That's a good point. It's a drawback that javascript only has public access to properties in regular classes.
Perhaps in this case http://extjs.com/deploy/dev/docs/?class=Ext.data.Store&member=indexOfId would be best.
Thanks. I was able to get it to work by doing a store.data.indexOfKey()
However, the api does not mention that "data" object is a public property. Should I be accessing the property that way?
Sorry, but could you please indicate how to use this or point me to an example?
Thanks.
