Hi

What I'm looking to do is have user profile fields that the user himself can't affect but admin can. The idea is that when a user achieves something then the admin will alter the profile field in some way. The ideal would be to have a series of icons (same size as smilies) and the admin would put these into the user profile field. These will show up in every post made by the user either above or below their avatar. Update profile - MoodleDocs:: This controls the visibility of your email address to others. The obvious question: would this be possible with vBulletin?
(for an example see the forum at boardgamegeek.com)
I do know that there is a modification that allow you to add custom profile fields, but I don't know if you can set permissions for it.
Custom Profile Fields are a stock feature and the admin can make them uneditable and invisible.
