uploading picture

Published by: wktd 2009-01-07
  • hi

every time i try to upload a picture withing control panel I run into a problem.

I browse a picture and write a title..
I hit on upload.. a few moments later it says that the picture is uploaded but it doesn't show anything but a name.. the size of photo is 0 kb.

then I go to images, and chose the image, press edit and upload it again and it works fine then... I have to do this for every picture..

    what's the problem?

  • what is the guessed and actual image & thumbnail path (Admin General Info)?

  • Private message me (http://www.pixelpost.org/forum/private.php?do=newpm&u=1312) a temporary username and password to your photoblog so I can see exactly what is happening.

  • BTW

I have the 1.7.1 installed on my subdomain test-blog and everything works fine.
Is it problem with my DB?
    Can someone help?

  • So can someone help me?
I try to go back to 1.7 and 1.7RC1 but the uploading problem remains.

  • Sorry for my English.
I mean that the actual image & thumbnail path is /h/oneyeeu/htdocs/images/ & /h/oneyeeu/htdocs/thumbnails/
Was the austriaka's question about this? Or I don't understood it?

  • well the configured image path and thumbnail paths are ok as far as I can see.

  • Hi,

I have also upgraded to pp 1.7. My previous images and thumbnails are all ok but when I upload a new image I get filename on both image and archive pages. Here are the general info page:

    Guessed imagepath: /home/...../public_html/pblog/images/

    Configured Imagepath: ../images/

    Guessed thumbnailpath /home/...../public_html/pblog/thumbnails/

    Configured Thumbnailpath ../thumbnails/

Image Directory: OK - Can we write to the directory? YES. Current CHMOD: 0777

Thumbnails Directory: OK - Can we write to the directory? YES. Current CHMOD: 0777

    Language Directory: OK

    Addons Directory: OK

    Includes Directory: OK

    Templates Directory: OK

Just one quick note that the image is uploaded intact.

    Any help is appreciated.
    Thanks,

  • First, if you can provide a link to your site, that would be helpful.

Second, if you login to Pixelpost and go to the General Info tab... does it say this:

    Paths

Image Directory: OK - Can we write to the directory? YES. Current CHMOD: 0777
Thumbnails Directory: OK - Can we write to the directory? YES. Current CHMOD: 0777

I noticed that on the file that is missing there is a # in the filename which could be causing a problem.

  • There is no problem with the database, its an upload error. What do you mean with: "The actual image & thumbnail path is the SAME."?

  • The same problem.
The difference is that after Im uploading it doesnt show nothing at all. and no image uploads and/or image uploads but there is no thumb for it and TAGS field is emtpty.
In my General Info PP show this
Image Directory: OK - Can we write to the directory? YES. Current CHMOD: 0777
Thumbnails Directory: OK - Can we write to the directory? YES. Current CHMOD: 0777

    Language Directory: OK
    Addons Directory: OK
    Includes Directory: OK
    Templates Directory: OK

But there is no more information bout visitors.

    Any Ideas?
