If you are referring to Symantec's Security Scan (http://security.symantec.com/sscv6/sc_about.asp?langid=ie&venid=sym&plfid=00&pkj=VMFHPJUIYCZRWEJGSSK) then this is an ActiveX applet that runs on your system so it would most likely report on ports allocated by Windows (which Outpost shows in its Open Ports section), not on whether these ports are accessible from the Internet (an online scan would have to be used to check this, see 1 for more details). should one strive for stealthed ports on the Symantec scan? Does everybody have some Open, Closed ports on the Symantec results, or am I configuring something wrong?
Correction: my port is showing Open on Norton Port Scan but every other port scan site doesn't indicate any problems. Is it possible the Symantec scan is wrong?
