DBG | PHP Debugger and Profiler.:: Jun 30, 2006 Jun, 12 2002 v2.11.22 released, better error handling; Dec, 09 2002 v2.11.5 released, minor bug fixing; Oct, 12 2002 v2.11.4 released, http://www.php-debugger.com/dbg/relhist.phpHOME | Here are two little bugs I've spotted since upgrading to v2:
I have a global system rule to allow outgoing DNS to two specific IP addresses, however it appears that Outpost v2 is ignoring this rule, and forcing me to set that for each application individually.
The other bug is that I added a new website and enabled popups, but Outpost kept blocking them for that site. If I enabled it globally I could get popups to work, but I could not get it to work on a rule for that site specifically. WinPlanet Windows Software Reviews and Downloads:: Upgrade Meter: 2. One other question; are we going to be able to allow referrers by site in the future? This is still disabled when you try to create a rule for it for a specific site.
Thanks.
The Global Systems rule should apply to all applications - are you sure that you have the right IP addresses for the DNS servers (typing ipconfig -all in a DOS Box/Command Prompt will give full network information, listing the DNS servers near the end). Is the rule itself enabled? (ticked).

With regard to the website popup, the most likely cause is not having the URL exactly right. If it is of the form www.xyz.com then removing the www. and just using xyz.com may help.
Referrers on a per-site basis are on Agnitum's To-do list, but I do not know when this will be done.

Yes, the IP addresses were right and the rule was enabled. It hadn't changed since v1.
muchod's suggestion of removing "Outbound" worked for some reason, though that same setting worked fine in v1.

Trust me, that's the first thing I checked. I figured out what the problem was though.
The page was apparently at www.animenfo.com, but the logs showed the popups were actually at animenfo.opensub.net and animenfo.w3pop.de instead.

Thanks for the info.

Set the global rule to all directions (do not select 'if direction is'), not only outgoing. Since DNS uses UDP and UDP rules are for the packet direction and not the connection direction you must allow both directions.
Hope this helps
Thanks, that worked. :)
Also, some popup windows require JS be enabled too.
