I know when you get a tatt on your hands or feet it fades faster because you wash your hands often (or at least you should) and you feet are wet more in baths or showers ... anyway my question is has anyone had touch up work done and was it painful having it done ? I want to know before i go off and get a tattoo of my foot.
I want stars on one foot and a solar eclipse on the other.
damn that will most likely hurt...alot because the foot has less flesh and more protruding bones and tendons than most places on the body. my friend had paws done on his feet and said it hurt quite a bit, but if you really want it go for it anyway
why would you want that? Foot tattoos:: Foot, toe and ankle tattoos are becoming more popular, especially for women. Usually the tattoo is on top of the foot, though some want a bottom of the foot http://mytattooink.com/tattoo-pics/foot-tattoos.htmHOME |
it all depends on the person. i have had full foot tattoos on my feet for 4 years and they have held up incredibly.
many shops (including mine) won't guarantee tattoos on hands or feet because the skin does slough off much more than other parts of the body. all tattoos hurt. even touchups.
tattoos on the top of your feet won't fade nearly as quickly as your hands. the touch up work feels the exact same as the original tattooing - depending on your pain tolerance, it'll hurt.
I got a tattoo on my foot 2 years ago and it's held up great. I wear flip-flops 11 months out of the year, go to the beach a lot...I don't think it's any worse off than my other 4. I did have to have it touched up about 3 months after I got it, a lot of holidays and one line was missing...from my experience touch ups hurt a lot worse than the original work. I don't know why, my artist even told me that it's normal for touchups to hurt more.
I got a tattoo 6 years ago on my foot. It has not needed to be touched up yet, but I imagine it will feel about the same as getting it done in the first place.
