It won't start or anything after I upgraded it and I have no idea how to fix - the error from my forums:
My host ev1servers.net say it is "beyond the scope of their support" therefore I'm well and truly stuck.
Any ideas :(
try http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showthread.php?t=155287 ? New Wave of SQL Injection Vulnerability Probes:: You can do some rudimentary filtration with .htaccess which will stop many of these SQL injection scripts dead in their tracks. http://www.webmasterworld.com/search_engine_spiders/3725038.htmHOME |
did you try the 2 suggestions on the error page ?
vBulletin datastore error caused by one or more of the following:
1. You may have uploaded vBulletin 3.5 files without also running the vBulletin 3.5 upgrade script. If you have not run the upgrade script, do so now.
2. The datastore cache may have been corrupted. Run Rebuild Bitfields from tools.php, which you can upload from the do_not_upload folder of the vBulletin package.
Fatal error: vBulletin datastore cache incomplete or corrupt in /includes/init.php on line 171
No mysqld pid file found. Looked for /var/lib/mysql/cpanel.wrestling-edge.com.pid.
when trying from root.
When trying from CPANEL:
/usr/bin/mysqladmin: connect to server at 'localhost' failed error: 'Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (2)' Check that mysqld is running and that the socket: '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' exists! mysql has failed, please contact the sysadmin (result was "Warning, no valid mysql.sock file found.mysql has failed").
What version of MySQL were you upgrading from.
ev1servers provide unmanaged servers.
try typing these 2 commands as root user in ssh telnet
cd /tmp
ln -s /var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock mysql.sock
Sounds like mysql might not be able to write to its own diretorys...
I give up. I finally fix mysql and now http://www.weforums.com
I did Eva, yes. This issue was happening every time we restarted our server, and to fix - all we did was re-upload the includes folder from 3.5.0 RC3 and the problem was fixed. However, now nothing works. Database repair, the 2 options, re-uploading all the non-image files and folders :(
You have root access to your server? Have you tried restarting mysql?
Can you connect to mysql via the command line? :)
