If the above code is run in FF, the west region can be easily resized, and the split is visible.
However, in IE 6.0 the split icon, doesn't even appear when cursor is taken over the split region.
Also, note that the split is working ok for the two panels inside the West panel.
Any suggestions?

Adding css block:
.ext-strict .ext-ie6 .x-layout-split{background-color: #dfe8f6;}
to the html page, this works fine.
