idolatry?
To call this activity idolatry is a little harsh. Praying to "Saints" is something that is of no benefit since those who have died can not hear our prayers and can not intercede for us. There is only one mediator between God and Man and that is the Lord Jesus Christ. The Scripture tells us this. If more Catholics would read the Scriptures they would know this. And if someone needed something done for them God would usually send Holy Spirit to direct you, pray always that God enlighten you, and ask questions.

yes. The Bible specifically says that Jesus is the only itermediary to God we need.
no, it is no worship of them, merely asking them for your help.
it is no difference than the southern baptist putting your name on the prayer list and asking everyone in the church to pray for you, they are merley asking that saint to pray for them also.

Our guidline is always THE BIBLE.This line of prayer is not ,that I know of,to be found .All prayers s/g directly thru JESUS himself.Did U know all the Christians here are considered saints???Idolatry is anything that takes the place of GOD in our lives------T.V.*Sex*Books*people*etc!!!

How can it be when they are in heaven with God! We worship God and we love his family. Christians alive and dead are the body of Christ. You think God is a monster and he is by himself in heaven. He lets others intercede for us. Is it idoltary when you pray for someone such as a family member?
It sure is. Asking dead people to do things for you is pretty stupid too.

Asking someone that knows nothing to do something is really silly. When you are dead, you are just dead, so how can a dead person ask Jesus or God to do anything?
Oh, but maybe those priests who have the power to change things can make dead people undead and send them to heaven! LOL! Since the Church has the authority to do what ever it wants, maybe we should start to pray to the priests. Ah, just count some beads, say three Hail Maryâ ™s, crawl up some stairs, and forget about it. I'm sure we can all buy our way into heaven with generous donations to the church.

So if catholics dont pray directly to saints but ask them to intercede for them with god isnt that still?
