SMTP blocked

I am using the free Outpost 1.0.1817.1645
SUddenly today all my incoming mails are blocked yet under My Internet there is nothing listed in the Blocked folder.

Outlook is a trusted application. Why has this happened today. Has an automatic update done something I don;t know about.

Are other applications able to use the Internet successfully? Are you connecting to an email server directly or are you using a web-based email service (like Hotmail)? Although you have titled this thread as being SMTP related (a protocol used for sending email), you have stated that incoming email is blocked - is outgoing barred also? Finally, does the Attack Protection plugin have any entries listed?

I use the paid version Outpost Pro, which allows more flexibilty in setup. So, setup of rules may be different for the free version.

My understanding is that you do NOT want Outlook in Trusted Apps.

I suggest you right click the Outpost icon in the sys tray, click on 'Options' Click on 'Application' tab, then scroll down to where you currently have Outlook in the 'Trusted Application', click and drag it from 'Trusted' up to 'Partially Trusted Applications'

With Outlook.exe highlighted, click 'Edit' and select 'Create using rules preset' then click 'E-mail client.' That will give you preset rules that work with Outlook. Besure to 'Apply' and click 'OK' before leaving that dialog box, or it will NOT be saved.

First of all, welcome to the forum! You will find help here, or it isn't to be found. I am not expert, at all, but can help with one question.

The free version you have is the latest version of OP, unless you downloaded and installed version 2.xxx.

It will take a bit more time to research the other portions of your question. However, if you are patient, someone will probably be along shortly, who can offer more.
