I see that the shared server that I want to use currently has MySQL Client API version 3.23.56. Is there any recent version of vBulletin that will work with that? Thanks.
That's just the library used to talk to the MySQL server, the server version can be much higher than that. You'll probably find that the shared server is 4.0.x which will work.
The only real way to check is to enquire with the owner of the shared server or if you can use the test script. Thanks for the reply. I have requested that I get migrated to a new server instead. They have one running 5.0.32 or something like that. I forget the exact version.
