If i change the password for cpanel either in cpanel or via whm will it affect the password settings you put into the config.php (includes) or will i have to edit that as well to reflect the change. You should always do this when using databases and not the main one as take for example if you are not running suexec and someone gains access to some form of remote command execution on your account via the webserver user, they can simply read your configuration file and have your cPanel password, which esculates them from a basic webshell to a user account.
You should be making a mysql username (inside of the mysql tab in cpanel) instead of using the cpanel username for your database access :)
