How much the pain it is? Any precaution about applying a tattoo??
it hurts, and the amount of pain depends on where you're getting it, and your personal pain threshold.

in general......needles piercing your skin thousands of times is painful
the best precautions are:
picking out the perfect tattoo
and going to a professional artist that you've researched so you know you're safe
it depends on wear you get it, and if you are sensitive some people think it hurts more on bone personally i think it hurts more on muscle and fat
i feels like someone is erasing your skin like with a pencil eraser
is this for real? take a needle, stick yourself thousands of times and you'll have your answer..
i got a tattoo yesterday juss under my neck in btw my shoulder blades and some spot hurts like in the middle on my spine but it wasnt bad at all.

YES it hurts, duh, its a needle stabbing into your skin millions of times.... but is it worth it? absolutly.
i could think of many things that you might experience in your life that would hurt a lot worse. take childbirth for example.... hurts a lot worse, but soo worth it.
don't focus on the pain, focus on the how sweet the end result is.
Yes it is painful. There is a cream you can buy and apply to the area an hour before having the tattoo and this will numb it somewhat. precautions? Yes, think long and hard about it, that stuff is permanent.
of course it is. Its needles peircing your skin. The pain is tolerable though. Its like scratching over bad sunburn.
it just depends were in your body are you going to get it, for example if it is in your arms, and you have muscle than is not going to hurt as much
Depends on the part of the body. I have one on my lower back that HURTED LIKE HELL. But tottaly worth it. And the other in my hand didnt hurt at all :)
It depends on where you get it. It'll be more painful if you get one closer to bone or where there is less muscle.
I just got my first tattoo done two days ago and all i can say is that if i can handle it anyone can! i cant lie and say that it didnt hurt but it wasnt that bad, you will survive.
Also i have a friend who has lots of tattoos and she said that the most painful place was on her ankle, least on her back shoulders. Mine is on my wrist and that was ok, even tho i seems like quite a painful place..its not really...its mostly on areas where there is bones like ankles and back of a neck.
Precaution about applying a tat...there isnt one, it will come to u when u want one and ud know it...and have a meaning to it.
Mine is a treble clef which is a music key. I love music, i always have and also music speaks about love and life which are things dear to my heart. Also a treble clef is in a similar shape of an S its got like two S's (much more artistc looking and im a artist in progress) joined together to form a symbol and well my name starts with an s and so does my mums and my dads so it also represents my family. And my sisters starts with an R which u can see in the symbol but its a macedonian R which is the country that im from, altho I live in Australia.
Its got quite a meaning and it looks nice too.
So make sure u get something that will have a meaning to u, its much less regretable when u put meaning to ur tattoos because its so permanent and you can get over the design itself. Dont just get something that looks hot coz u can get over the look of it having it there forever printed on your body. You can also add meaning to it as u go too. :)

Everyone has a different pain tolerance. If you are worried you can get a topical anesthetic like EMLA which will numb the area. Follow the directions carefully.
There is a pre-caution. Make sure that it's something tasteful that you can see yourself having on until you die. Something appropriate, meaningful.
