Majority of Blacks are predominately of Sub-Saharan African ancestry, not every slave master raped every female slave, so there are some who have a little European ancestry in them. Slavery only ended 130 plus years ago, but they also had to struggle with civil rights and Miscegenation laws, and the Jim Crow laws. So No, not every black is mixed, just because some blacks have mixed heritage doesnâ ™t mean they all do, not everyone shares the same story.

I know that I have Irish and Native American ancestry in addition to african, but I don't go around saying I am mixed... I think it would be silly since most black people already know that the other black folks are not 100% african

Yes, that's true. Most African Americans, if they did the research, could trace their ancestry back to the south, and slavery, and would find white ancestors along the way. Only one in a million could trace their ancestry back any further though, a la Alex Haley.

For the millionth time, African American is a term specifically for decendents of slaves and free blacks from the colonial era. Black immigrants are not African American (unless they have a Afr-American decendents in thier family tree.). They are what ever nationality thier ancestors come from..
So yes most ethnic African Americans, (I dare even say all) are a mixture of native, white (usually british) and African ancestry uniquely making them African American. Anyone who says other wise dont know what thier talking about. A Nigierian immigrant cannot just magically become African American. They can ethnically IDENTIFY as Afr-American but thier hertiage is Nigerian. African Americans culture and history is all in U.S. Nigerians culture and history is in NIgeria. By calling a NIgierian an African American you potientially deny both African Americans and Nigerians thier unique heriage.
No, some are mixed but not all. Most African Americans look just as "African" as Native Africans. I would know I was born there.

I think it is true that all natural born citizens have a percentage of different ethnicity's in their DNA, especially blacks. Have you seen all the different shades we come in (and not just the clearly biracial ones).
