She's a Westie, over a year old. I think she would go nuts if I smeared a thin layer of peanut butter inside her Kong toy.

I've never given peanut butter to her before though, since it's "people food" and we avoid giving her anything but dog food/treats.

It's just a little boring, always filling the Kong with bones and treats. It would nice to give her a little variety.

  • My dogs LOVE PB. Their fav treats that we make are PB Blueberry Cookies.

  • A table spoon twice a week wouldn't hurt it.
Dogs love peanut butter and it doesn't harm them.
The only thing is that it has a lot of fat in it.
Sugar- free peanut butter is even better, just don't offer it as an everyday treat.

It's impossible to say exactly how much a puppy should eat. Keep your puppy healthy and sound by keeping him lean and fit. . Let the puppy start licking the peanut butter and if she turns to bite the brush, where he (and your witty and compelling homepage) is safe and cannot do anything that might be

Is it OK to feed cat food to dogs?::
I have small dogs and they like cat food but I want to be sure it will not harm them. A dog can eat lots of things without suffering harm, but why would you help them live long and healthy lives, I give them premium dog food with .. my dog her meds wrapped in cat food instead of the usual peanut butter.

  • Yes it is safe. but don't feed your Westie to much at one time. and don't feed it to your dog very often it will stop them up.

  • Give her the smallest amount possible, because peanut butter can choke an animal of it gets stuck in the back of their throats, just like with babies. Be careful, but with a small amount, your dog will love ya ! :)

  • Use "no sugar added" type. Dogs love it :)
Just don't overdo it. There is lots of fat in it.

  • Sure! It's fine. I do it all the time.

  • peanut butter is fine for any size dog. You will notice in the treat section of most pet stores they have pb flavored treats and chew bones. I wouldn't give your dog a whole jar just because it is so fattening it could cause diahreah, but that is probably the worst you can get. You can your dog the kind you eat (with sugar) which is what I give my dog. If you are concerned about your dog's weight, then go for the no sugar stuff. But dogs love it, the oils are great for their coats and the nutrients are good for them.

  • Try out the flavored treats or a small amount of PB once. If she likes it then once a every few days should be good.

  • peanut butter is good... after stuffing the kong ,, put the kong in the freezer for awhile

  • It depends on whether the dog has a sensitive stomach. Most dogs are okay to eat it.

  • of course...all dogs luv peanut butter, but don't give them too much.

  • no, not if its small
